Gambling: Gambling on the Go
This is it -- the ultimate battle of wits galore.
Six people seated across the table, yet the expression on their faces -- so hard to tell.
An amateur gambler could present him as the skillful one. Unabashed by such an obstacle (the game itself) that was too great for the crowd to bear. All smiles and the confidence are evident.
But deep inside, this person may be having a feeling of imaginary trains chasing him in all directions, thereby causing nervousness, so he may lose concentration in the middle of the game.
The expert gambler, on the other hand -- may act is if he does not know anything at all. Just going on with the flow, yet the mind reminds so agile and calculating.
This person's cool, languid pose matches the expert within. More often than not, we tend to judge a gambler's character by appearance.
From displaying knowledge all throughout the game to being all quiet but alert. Those two are the most common traits we see in every gambler.
Gambling, on the other hand, is all about numbers. Applied mathematics, that is. It is not like purchasing a kilo of beef in a supermarket just to feed your hunger, no. Sure, you use money, but with a fixed amount and once it is cooked, it satisfies your need for nourishment.
For some, it is like investing in the stock market, but only for a certain period of time.
The investor (gambler) keeps up with the rate on a quarterly basis, and it is up to him if the dividends should be converted to cash - or simply buy stocks to add up the investment, or just let it roll by for another three months.
Kind of similar to gambling, but the intent is almost entirely different -- If analyzed closely. When playing Poker, one does not just sit back and anticipate what happens next - and this is the kind of investment that does not appear in your newspaper's Stock Market Section.
On the whole, gambling is about pursuing the unknown. With one's blind faith. However, determination and strength are the two solid factors that are acknowledged here. The idea of toying with numbers, especially of the prize - seems so inspiring.
Put in a few dollars and you are all ready to go. Keeping up with the game armed with your innate gambling skills (assuming you do have it) in manipulating the game subtly, then victory comes next. Ah, sweet victory!
